Career support

The University leads London in education, research and enterprise for business and the professions. We also have a proven employability record, being ranked 26th overall in the UK for the percentage of our students going into professional jobs or further study after they graduate (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016). For many years we have provided employment opportunities for graduating students through our strong links with leading companies in sectors from finance to civil engineering to the media.

Through a series of awards, placements and networking events, we ensure that our graduates enter the workplace ahead of their peers. The Career and Skills Development Service at City University London provides a professional, high quality careers and information service for students and recent graduates of City, in collaboration with employers and other University academic and service departments. Our aim is to support and develop our students by providing the tools they need to enhance their employability.

The message we try and communicate to prospective students is that it is never too early to start thinking about your career. See the Prezi below for our advice on how you can start boosting your CV and building your career.
