Maria Repouskou

Maria Repouskou (MA Global Migration 2012) is based in Athens and is currently an MSc student at Alba Graduate Business School.

Why I am an Ambassador:

I would like to contribute to the creation of a group that shares the same values City has instilled in its students; City is an institution that is about more than just academia. It is a global community of which we are all life-long members. I believe it is our duty to establish bonds regardless of our location and work collectively to keep the City spirit alive.

Panayiotis Nicolaou

Panayiotis Nicolaou (Business Systems Analysis and Design 2009) is based in Filopappou and is currently a Senior Business Consultant.

About me:

I worked in several different roles and departments across the institution during my time studying at City, including the Centre for Career and Skills Development, Widening Participation Team, Student Centre and Development and Alumni Relations Office.

I have been back in Athens since 2010, and am now working on large-scale projects for Unisystems.

Why I am an Ambassador:

I would like to organise professional workshops and cultural events and am keen to draw in any Greek alumni who would like to maintain their professional and social links locally."

Ekaterini Glynou

Ekaterini Glynou (Mathematical Science 1993; Advanced Social Research Methods 1996) is based in Kifissia and works at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

About me:

I coordinate operations within the Department of International and European Economic Studies computer laboratory, Eurolab (Laboratory of Monitor and Analysis of European Affairs), including grants administration. I perform quantitative / qualitative research focused on a wide range of educational topics and tutor students enrolled in the Introduction to Computer Science course.

Why I am an Ambassador:

I am keen to promote City and help graduates keep in contact, share news and work opportunities. I would also like to arrange social events.

Paraskevi Trikalopoulou

Paraskevi Trikalopoulou (LLM Maritime Law 2017) is based in Piraeus and works as an attorney for a shipping company.

About me:

I graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a Bachelor of Laws in 2014. I immediately started to work as a trainee lawyer in a Law Office in Thessaloniki. I was the President of the Hellenic branch of an International Law Students’ Association for a year. I moved to Piraeus in 2015 and continued my traineeship in a Law Office. I was admitted to the LLM in Maritime Law of City, University of London. My graduation is expected in 2017. Additionally, I am attending the Professional Qualifying Examinations provided by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in Piraeus. After having successfully passed the Bar exam, I was admitted to practice law as an Attorney with the Piraeus Bar Association. I received an honorary mention from the President of the Piraeus Bar Association for the high score in the PanHellenic Bar exam.

Why I am an Ambassador:

My experience as a post graduate student at City, University of London has ignited my interest the position of the Alumni Ambassador in my country. The high quality of the syllabus as well as the professors themselves inspired me to be part of this community and to contribute to the development and expansion of City in my country. I can effectively bring the alumni of City together and make sure that the connection with university states equally strong in the future. I am committed to dedicate my time and efforts into building a strong and vibrant alumni community in Greece..
