Academic Development Unit

ADU is responsible for supporting:

• new educational developments both within the University and through validation and partnerships;
• the enhancement of student learning;
• the development and implementation of academic policy.

The Unit reports to the Deputy-Vice-Chancellor (Education) and works closely with Schools, validated institutions, the Students’ Union, the Learning Development Centre and University Academic Leads such as the Dean of Students and the Dean of Validation.

This website is designed to provide accessible information to staff, students, partner institutions and other external bodies about our framework for academic development. It also provides contact information for members of ADU who are available to provide support and guidance .
