Events
Where Education comes to life...

The Learning Development Centre (LDC) hosts a number of events each year for City University London staff and students. All events are designed to promote learning and teaching by providing opportunities to disseminate good practice and to network with colleagues from across the University.
Our annual events programme includes:
- The Learning at City Conference: a one day conference at which members of staff present papers on their own good learning and teaching practice.
- The Learning at City Showcase: where participants are invited to visit stalls showcasing various learning and teaching projects that are taking place across the University.
- The Researchers Development Days: two one day conferences specifically for research students and early career researchers to learn about various aspects of research from senior academic staff.
- The Researchers Symposium: a one day conference where PhD students are invited to present on their own research in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Digital Researcher: This introductory workshop aims to engage you with the uses of social media in supporting your research.
In addition to these annual events, we work to provide a range of smaller events which can vary each year. This includes events such as a one day mini conference on Inclusivity in the Curriculum, and workshops on a range of topics including dealing with challenging behaviour by students, and using interactive handouts.
